Jake Harvath:
The Year of the Mustang project is a journey of over seven thousand miles that I'm doing with my three mustangs; Bella, Denver and Eddy. Starting in Utah we will cross through thirty American States. Making the longest continuous horse pack trip ever done in a year's time.
I am doing this to show the world the incredible value that mustangs have as working horses. I hope that this journey will not only educate people about horses but also open their minds to the possibility of adopting their own mustang.
This video marks the beginning of an entire series that will be telling our story as my horses and I cross the United States over the next year.
Jake Harvath is looking for places to camp out with his horses as he travels across thirty states in the Year of the Mustang Journey. I hear he has already ridden from Utah to the Atlantic Ocean. He was near Cleveland, Ohio when he dropped his latest video. If you can help out and you’re within 5 miles of his route, send him an email at yearofthemustang@gmail.com

Note: Reminds me of the documentary film Unbranded. Great film! A 3000 mile journey from Mexico to Canada with 16 mustangs.
In this story of rugged independence, Unbranded reveals the true interdependence of man, animal and nature -- their 3000-mile gauntlet through five states that is indescribable and unforgiving. Unbranded follows the story of Ben Masters, Thomas Glover, Jonny Fitzsimons and Ben Thamer as they travel through the deepest backcountry from Mexico through the American West up to Canada, with 16 Mustangs chosen and trained for this purpose. The ride took five and a half months through Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana, in famously challenging and beautiful country such as Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and Glacier National Park.
